International Scholarships

Over 700 different scholarship programs are awarded through this process. Students who complete the academic scholarship application are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

The 2009-2010 Scholarship Application deadline is January 31, 2009.

Entering freshman and transfer students should begin to hear of their awards in mid-March.

The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Program in Social Entrepreneurship offers up to twenty graduate fellowships each year to students from across the University. The NYU Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship is designed to support and train the next generation of change makers who will implement sustainable and scalable solutions to society's most intractable problems.

1. Prospective Applicants

The MSIN Program addresses highly motivated individuals with a firm belief in the value of education and a determination to work hard and excel in the specific scientific and technology fields.

Marine-related scholarships are being offered by Seaspace, Inc. SEASPACE is a 501(3)(c) organization. The SEASPACE Permanent Education Fund earnings and private donations endow scholarships specifically in support of marine-related courses of study.

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund was established in 1949 to provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada. Members of P.E.O. believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.

ELIGIBILITY

Central Michigan University (CMU) accepting applications for Lem Tucker Journalism Scholarship. Applicants for the 13th annual scholarship must complete an official application; write an essay and cover letter; and provide a letter of reference, samples of journalistic work, and academic transcripts and college-entrance test scores.

The scholarship is intended to encourage students who have an interest in international library work and enable them to participate in IFLA early in their careers. The 2009 IFLA annual meeting takes place in Milan, Italy in August. The scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Mathilde and Howard Rovelstad.

Eligibility

The United States Department of State and the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) are pleased to announce the availability of overseas scholarships for intensive summer language institutes in eleven critical need foreign languages for summer 2009.

Languages offered: Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla/Bengali, Chinese, Hindi,Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu.

The Google Scholarship Program offers funds to students studying computer science or computer engineering who are juniors or seniors in college or pursuing a Master's or PhD.

Eligibility Requirements
Students must

• come from an Hispanic background
• be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Juniors, Seniors, Masters or PHD)

Purpose
The goal is to financially assist students currently enrolled in a teacher education program with a mathematics specialty. The award is to be used for tuition, books, labs, and fees necessary to fulfill requirements for a BA or BS degree with teacher certification in mathematics.
