This scholarship is to support a medical graduate, wishing to gain full-time training in methodology pertinent to any aspect of research related to gastroenterology or hepatology disorders, while enrolled for an MD or PhD.

The International Federation of University Women (IFUW) offers a limited number of international fellowships and grants to women graduates for postgraduate research, study and training. IFUW's 2011/2012 competition is now open. The fellowships and grants offered are for research, study and training to be carried out between 1 April 2011 to 31 December 2012.

Notes for Applicants

1. Up to six Felix Scholarships will be offered at each of the three institutions above for Indian graduates taking up places in September/October 2009 for:
   
   1. Taught postgraduate Master's courses (MSc, MAgrSc, MA, LLM, etc.) = 1 or 2 academic years; or
   2. Master's degrees by research (MPhil) = 2 academic years; or

Each year, one award is offered in conjunction with AstraZeneca Plc to a UK citizen post-doctoral scientist to conduct research on an aspect of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or Bio-informatics at any accredited US institution.

The objective of the scholarship program is to promote democratic, economic and social development through supporting know-how and transfer of knowledge to advanced students within areas in which Sweden is at the forefront of academic research.
